The King’s Information Technology and Intellectual Property Law Society (KIIPS) is dedicated to increasing the accessibility of IT and IP law. Having recently undergone a rebranding phase this past summer, we are passionate about the future and the intersection of law, creativity, and innovation. As the academic year begins, we are now looking for candidates who are committed to furthering our mission in the year to come.

We are recruiting for the following committee roles:

  • First Year Representative(s)

  • LLM Representative

First Year Representative

We are looking for enthusiastic candidates who would like to join the Committee and help us plan, organise, and host events that will benefit the wider King’s community.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Planning, organising, and hosting events;

  • Event marketing and promotion;

  • Networking and making connections;

  • Assisting the other roles where necessary;

Competencies that we are looking for include, but are not limited to:

  • Organisation;

  • Diligence;

  • Responsibility;

  • Initiative;

  • An amiable character;

  • Willingness to learn.

No prior knowledge of IT or IP law is required, but the candidate must demonstrate a genuine interest in IT and IP law.


LLM Representative

We are looking for enthusiastic candidates who would like to join the Committee and help us plan, organise, and host events that will benefit the wider King’s community.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Planning, organising, and hosting events;

  • Regular updating of the blog;

  • Event marketing and promotion;

  • Assisting the other roles where necessary;

Competencies that we are looking for include, but are not limited to:

  • Organisation;

  • Diligence;

  • Responsibility;

  • Initiative;

  • An amiable character;

  • Willingness to learn.

Our LLM Representative should have prior knowledge of IT and/or IP law.
